Yes! Donations to the Plainfield Public Library are tax deductible. While the Plainfield Public Library is not a 501(c) (3), per the IRS, as a governmental entity/subdivision/instrumentality, donations are still tax deductible  The Plainfield Public Library will be glad to provide a letter on official letterhead thanking you for your donation and listing the amount of the donation, which can be utilized by your tax preparer in the exact same manner as they would handle a donation to a 501 (c) (3).

If you would like your donation to benefit a specific Library department or program, please specifiy that when making your donation.

Book Donations

The Library is not currently accepting book donations at this time.

The Better World Books bin has been removed due to issues with materials being stacked up around the box creating a safety hazard, damaging of materials, and unsighltly conditions.
