Mobile Printing

Patrons can print from any Internet connected PC or mobile device (either within the Library or remotely) to the Public Printer on the Main Level via SmartAlec. You can also download one of their mobile apps.

Using the SmartALEC service, you are now able to upload your documents from any device and then print your documents at the Library. Your documents will be stored in our queue for up to 7 days, allowing you to print them at a later date.  Printing costs $.20 per page for B&W and $0.40 per page for color.

You can use SmartALEC with your library card number/PIN or you can print as a guest by providing your email address or phone number. If you are printing as a guest please take note of the temporary card number and PIN you are assigned as you will need this information in order to retrieve your print jobs.

You simply upload your documents/files to SmartALEC from your desktop, laptop or mobile device. Additionally, you can download the app version to your mobile device:

If the app fails to work for any reason, try using the web browser version.

When you arrive at the Library please visit the self-service kiosk located by the public computers between the scanner and the photocopiers. You will click on "release a print job" (the first option) and then select whether you want to pay via your SAM account or with a credit card. If you would like to pay with cash, please visit the Circulation Desk before going to the kiosk.
